The Rural areas, which have not yet been at the focal point of the spread of virus, are beginning to see rising cases and deaths. The spread of virus is going to shift from urban cities to Tier – III cities & rural areas, where the medical infrastructure and services are least prepared. The rural areas are more vulnerable to spread of virus due to shortage of awareness and ill-equipped healthcare facilities. When the virus escalates into rural areas, it is going to be a medical disaster and chaos. The fight at this level will require more ground-level support and interventions.
SEED Organization has been implementing Covid-specific interventions since the start of pandemic. We are now deploying all our efforts towards improving the resilience of Rural India, through project SANKALP. The project keeps development of Oxygen plants at the centre of this project, along with distribution of ration and providing support to the healthcare workers through provision of medical kits and development of Infrastructure.
In Phase I, we are looking to cover 6 such clusters in each of the 6 states – Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal & Rajasthan. With on the ground volunteers and networks, we will strive to meet all the set objectives in the near future. But without your support, the efforts of our project will not be able to reach out to greater masses.
Alone, we can do so little. Together we can do so much. Join us in the campaign and help us safeguard the underprivileged parts of the country against the deadly pandemic. Every contribution you make can create a difference in our country’s struggle against the pandemic.
