Dear friends, Hope everyone is staying home and staying safe. These are difficult times where we should stay together and come out of this together. In these hard times apart from the ones who are privileged to stay home and work, there are many people whose lives are devastated because of the current crisis. It is the duty of who can to support who cannot in these hard times.

We the PSG Tech NSS Alumnus have in past supported the Help to educate program through donating what we can for education. Now it is again time for us to act and support the community. 

What is the need of the hour? 

As this crisis grows, the livelihood of the homeless people, elderly, transgender, etc are vastly affected. It is hard for people to earn a meal during these crisis times.

How can we help?

Fortunately, there are NGOs like No Food Waste (https://nofoodwaste.org/) are working with Coimbatore Corporation to set-up central kitchen to serve food for the needy(https://simplicity.in/coimbatore/english/government-notification/1532/private-entities-and-ngos-not-allowed-to-setup-kitchens-to-distribute-food). 

But they are having constraints in buying groceries and keeping the program running. It is costing them Rs.1,20,000 per week to run this program. We appreciate the service they do and wish to help by raising the funds at least for their one-week operation. 

We are a group of PSG-TECH alumnus who are related to one another through our college NSS program. Having been a part of NSS during our college days we, like any other fellow Techian, we  have always wanted to contribute to the society in some way or the other. So by the virtue of like-mindedness of our thoughts and belief in the goodness of our intention which has given rise to this campaign.
