As part of our 2019-2020 projects (Phase 1), we aim to
'Include 2000 children from low-income families under Nishulk Learning Program'.

What do we, at Nishulk Foundation do?
We disseminate already available validated digital content to children from low-income communities who do not have enough access to internet. The content is given in offline mode, hence every child can watch the content without Internet.

What is Nishulk Learning Program?
Nishulk Learning Program is a one-year program run by Nishulk Foundation throughout an academic year in partnership with low-cost schools.
Nishulk Identifies low cost schools through partner NGOs. As a part of this program, digital learning kits are distributed to children in low cost schools. The program follows a Self Learning –Peer Learning model. The learning of every child is measured at every step throughout the year. Nishulk Foundation would do 4 Follow-up sessions with every child in a year. The School management would send quarterly reports on every child.
If you have more questions, write to roshni@nishulkfoundation.org

What does the digital learning kit contain?
The content in our digital learning kit comes from ExamFear Education, which is our own platform.
There exists 6000+ engaging video lessons on Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, English Grammar, Science DIY experiments (with things at home), Geography, Civics and Exam Tips & Tricks. Our content is based on NCERT textbooks followed by CBSE as well as the State Boards. There are more than 7.5 lakh subscribers on the channel. Our channel has more than 200 million views on the content. We have a partnership with CBSE for their upcoming online patform, Digishiksha. We were recognized by Limca Book of Records, 2017.

Through Nishulk Education Foundation, we want to make this content accessible to the children who do not have access to Internet.

Why Nishulk Learning Program?
- Children from low-income families going to low cost schools do not have access to digital learning. They often do not have quality learning experience, which in turn results in demotivation and drop outs. Teachers also, often find it difficult to engage children in classrooms with limited resources; infact, there is a lack of teaching staff in many schools.

What is the scope of the 2019-2020 Nishulk Learning Program?
- To include 6000+ children as a part of this program. We will cover these children in 3 phases with 2000 children in each phase.

What are the challenges you will address?
- To help children learn, and not just attend schools
- To help children learn on their own even outside schools, introducing them to audiovisual educational content
- To address the lack of confidence in these children through self & peer learning approach
- To help teachers use audiovisual aids in classrooms to explain concepts better to these children who have had limited exposure to the world outside
- To help parents save money and yet get their children access to quality education

Will Nishulk Learning Program work?
- Ofcourse, it will. The content that we provide as part of the learning kit is already available online and has shown impact on children across the globe. Therefore, in terms of the content, it is validated.
We have already included close to 1000 children as part of Nishulk Learning Program via our partner schools like Shishu Mandir, Vidyadaan, ILMA, Florida English school etc. We are getting very good feedback from both students and teachers.

How will I know where my money is going?
- We will keep things transparent for the 2019-2020 project and will continue to share updates on our activities on a regular basis. If you have any concerns, please feel free to write to us at roshni@nishulkfoundation.org; we would be happy to address them. Feel free to take a look at a rough breakup of costs here.

Why don't you approach a corporate sponsor instead?
We would love to work with a mix of corporate and individual sponsors for our projects. If you are a corporate who shares the vision and want to get involved, please write to us at roshni@nishulkfoundation.org, we would love to work with you.
