Hi, this is Sushant Paul living in Patna, Bihar, India with two children (4-year daughter and 10 months baby boy) and my wife in a rented house since our marriage in 2015.

My younger brother was living with my parents in their own house and he is not mentally fit and all his medical expenses and day-to-day needs totally depend on my father’s pension. Things overturned when my father died on 17.05.2019 due to old age and several other complications, he was 74 and also lost my mother on 23.04.2021 due to COVID-19, she was 67, leaving my younger brother with no one to look after as I am also not financially fit to take care of his immense medical expenses and day-to-day needs as due to his condition he is unemployed and unmarried also.

Now the family pension has stopped and there is no one to look after him and even I am also not earning well due to these lock-downs since 2020. But unfortunately, the much-needed decision of lock-down has turned out to be a slow poison for the poor and middle-class family people.

After my mother’s demise he was very much depressed and even he tried to commit suicide twice as he was very much attached to my mother. All our small family savings were lost in my mother’s treatment as she was a patient with Chronic kidney disease and very old bronchitis and several other complications.

Being a Christian family and minority also we are facing several challenges as I have to feed my family and its next to impossible for me to take care of my younger brother also who is mentally challenged as we live in a rented house and now it’s getting harder for us to survive or to take good care of my children as there is no support from anywhere else.

I may not be able to bring back my parents or repair his loss, but at least as family would like to join our hands in helping in our own ways towards financially securing the future at least to some extent.

I am seeking funds to take care of my brother's medical expenses and survival challenges which will cost us around 10 lacs.

We as family really obliged for every contribution during this difficult time.
