Hi, we are raising this on behalf of Mrs Sunita Janu Kokare. She is the mother of Nilesh Kokare.
Nilesh is a 25 year old boy, who is currently admitted to INLAKS hospital, Chembur for breathlessness with severe case of H1N1 fever along with hyperkalemia (a condition caused by high level of potassium in the bloodstream), tachycardia (this is a heart rate disorder), ARDS (Acute respiratory distress syndrome - which is a life threatening lung injury that allows fluid to leak into the lungs. Breathing becomes difficult and oxygen cannot get into the body), hypoglycemia (deficiency of glucose in the bloodstream) and hypotension (sudden drops in blood pressure).
All these conditions together has been a life threatening situation for him since the past few days. He has been in ICU for the past three days and while the doctors have said that the condition is improving, he might have to stay in ICU for some more days.
Nilesh's mother does not have enough funds to get through this. The expenses have already crossed 1.5lakhs, and we are looking at a few more days of ICU, medication, doctor visits and post-hospitalization expenses. She works as a househelp and it would be very tough for her to get this amount in one shot and continue sustainence. Nilesh's sister is also not in a position to generate this amount of fund.
This is a plea to help us get Nilesh through this without it becoming a more desperate situation than it already is. We will attach all bills and papers as and when we get them. We have attached the bill so far and further estimate for now.
Please show generous solidarity and share this far and wide so we all can get him out of ill health as soon as possible.
