Story

I remember it was third or fourth grade, and our teacher asked everyone what they would become when they are big. Some said Doctor, some said Astronaut. Infact, I said I wanted to travel the world, but I had no idea what the term traveler meant at the time. In this way, I planned to become a traveler. I often find myself packing bags in the middle of the night. It gives me some comfort just to think I can go anywhere. I don't know where I'm going. This packing bag thing is very frequent these days. Then, I would make up my mind that I can't live like this every day. My journey of solo traveling started when I was in eleventh grade, and then there was no looking back. As of now, I have covered 17 Indian states out of 28 and around 120+ cities, that too being a student with always a tight budget.

I have recently completed my MBA and I have around one month free to start my corporate life in one of the reputed MNCs. Last year, I celebrated the achievement of being a biker, I bought my first own vehicle (Bajaj Dominar 400). I was in Bangalore at that time, and my father would always tease me, “Itni mehngi bike li hai isi par ghar aaja (Since, you have bought such an expensive bike, why don’t you drive back to home). I decided to do it this year and cross another item off my bucket list. After riding 2500 km and crossing 5 states, it took a total of 3 trips and 7 days to cover the whole route (Bangalore -> Pune -> Mumbai -> Indore -> Delhi).

Here I am, like every biker who dreams of going on a Leh Ladakh bike trip once in their lifetime. Though they dream of a flawless journey, in reality, there are a lot of shortcomings encountered. And one of the shortcomings here is the budget for the whole 13 days journey to and fro. With the completion of my dream, I hope to inspire young travelers like me, people who grow up in small towns and villages, to go beyond their dreams without giving them a second thought. If you can help me accomplish this, I would greatly appreciate a donation.
