I’m Nikhil an Auditor by profession. This fundraiser is ultimately for a group of 7 women in the rural area of Kozhikode, perambra-Koothali.
The project cost is 7.5 lakhs and the project will be able to give employment to women in this area by producing ready to cook coconut flour and roasted coconut.
Why this project?
Perambra is a rural area with underprivileged women who would like to join in social projects which will enable them to support the family for the education of their children, self-skill development and to meet the part of family expenses through a productive project.
Perambra is a land of coconut but the coconut farming is not economically viable as the products are not getting a good price because of the exploitation of middlemen. Through this project, the coconut will be directly sourced from the farmers and will be made sure the best price is given.
Why these products?
Coconut is an inevitable ingredient for cooking of many dishes but it’s time-consuming to prepare, so the need for processed coconut flour and roasted coconut is high in demand and when the availability is less.
So this project is going to benefit three classes of society and enrich the future.
We request your support for bringing this project into a reality soon.
