She is 4 years old (Hospital Number 3071122), daughter of Mr. Venkatesh Barki, is diagnosed to have GAUCHER DISEASE Which is a rare genetic disorder. She requires lifelong enzyme replacement therapy with imiglucerase. Which is given as an intravenous infusion once in every two weeks. Her current body weight is 10 kg and as per the recommended dose for imiglucerase, She requires 3 vials of imiglucerase (400 U/vial) per month.
The cost of One vial of imiglucerase is currently INR 1,53,846.15 including all taxes. She requires 39 vials per year,
Which would cost approximately INR 60,00,000.00 (Sixty lakhs rupees)
