My name is Shobha Nenavath. I am a final year student from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad. In October 2020, I was working on the field in my village when I fell down and injured my leg seriously. However, due to customary practices I was initially administered only traditional medicine. When those did not help, I was taken to the Government Hospital in my village, where I was told that I had a serious fracture and needed to be hospitalized immediately. Since it was a smaller hospital, they did not have the resources for advanced treatment like MRI scans, and therefore asked me to visit Hyderabad. It is here that I was diagnosed with a Bone Tumor in my leg, which doctors are saying could be cancerous in the long run. As I am from a poor farming family, we are desperate in these times for funds to support my treatment. I kindly request you to contribute to this link and help me in these difficult times.
