We need your support to scale through.
Who we are:
Buddha World School was founded in 2016 with the purpose of providing education to children in one of the most backward districts of India. Vaishali has a special place in the Buddhist and Jain tourism circuit — known to be the janmabhumi of Lord Mahavira and the karmabhumi of Lord Buddha — but is woefully short of good schools and learning facilities.
Parents who can afford it, send their children to Patna, Ranchi or Delhi for schooling. The ones who can’t, are deprived of decent schooling and overall development. Buddha World School was established to nurture these kids, by charging minimal fees. Built on the principle of Sanskar, Sanskriti aur Shiksha, Buddha World School has been conceptualised to carry forward the ancient Indian tradition of ashrams in the contemporary milieu.
Being self-funded thus far, and given the humble paying capacity of the parents, it has been a struggle to keep up with our mission to provide quality education, infrastructure and skilling to the children of Vaishali district. Though our CBSE affiliated school was the first one in North Bihar to initiate online learning for children, we will not be able to sustain much longer in these unprecedented times with our limited resources. Most parents are unable to pay the subsidised fees to continue with their wards’ online classes. As an institution we are in an unenviable predicament, as we also have to look out for our teaching and non-teaching staff and at the same time create basic infrastructure in the premises for the overall development of our children.
Your support and contribution, no matter how small, will help us overcome this difficult phase. Our earnest effort is to offer uncompromised quality education to the children, without burdening the parents, and, at the same time, providing learning aids, building infrastructure and ensuring basic salaries for the staff.
You may contribute in cash or kind towards:
1) Computer Lab
2) Laptops for online learning
3) Infrastructure: Classrooms, auditorium and playground.
4) Subsidized fee of children who are unable to pay fees.
