Story

Concept Note On Rojakootam Education and  Development Center
 
               Native Medicare Charitable Trust (NMCT) is a non-profit organization is working among the underprivileged, poor, and marginalized communities. NMCT focuses on education, health, sustainable livelihood development, and environment as long time commitment with an integral approach to address socio-economic issues, since 1988.

               With the experience of conducting Non-Formal Education Centers in collaboration with Sarva Siksha Abhiyan            SSA) and KOVAI Child Labor Abolition Scheme, we have educated & mainstreamed over 2000 potential child laborers. This project proposes to replicate and to conduct similar education centers as Rojakootam Education and Development Center(REaD).
               Objectives of Rojakootam Education and Development Centre (REaD – Center)
               To create an educational opportunity among the children to continue the formal education after the COVID-19     crisis.                  
             
 To reduce the child labor, child trafficking, and child marriage by engaging the children through non-formal        education.
               Duration of the Project:  3 Months
               Expected Outcome
No. of children have improved their profiles
No. of children have continued their education during and after COVID-19 Crisis
No. of children have gained knowledge on child rights
No. of children have started practicing hand wash, social distance and hygiene
               The proposed budget to run REaD Centre would be Rs. 1,20,000/-(Rupees One lakh Twenty
               Thousand only).
