My name is Kishore Ganesana and I am raising funds for my cousin Anka Narasimha Rao, he is suffering from Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) and was underwent treatment at GGH Hospital, Viajaywada.
Earlier he was diagnosed with COVID 19 and has battled it. Just when everyone thought he is recovering well, he was diagnosed with the deadly and dangerous Black Fungus which is knows as Mucormycosis. Black Fungus targets sinus, nose, eyes and finally the brain. In most of the cases, the infected part has to be surgically removed and then treated with the anti fungal medicine. Doctor Ravi from GGH Hospital investigation and report have confirmed the presence of Mucormycosis in the Right Upper Jaw, Chin and Right eye region. He underwent painful procedures and fungus was removed with the help of surgical procedures To further stop the fungus from spreading and injections were given to Right Eye, he has been treated in the Hospital with expensive anti fungal medicines. The doctor has prescribed 21 doses of AmphotericinB Liposomal to treat the infected areas and help to him recover from the deadly infection, even after the medication he was unable open his right eye.
After 25 days of treatment doctors have confirmed that he is slowly recovering from Black Fungus and he was discharged from GGH Hospital on 24th June 2021.
After a week of his discharge from GGH Hospital he went to L.V Prasad Eye Hospital Vijayawada for Eye checkup, after a fresh MRI scan Doctors have confirmed the fungus is now even affected to Brain and his Right eye needs to be immediately removed which requires involvement of three specialist doctors for surgery (ENT specialists, Brain specialists) and they recommended him to immediately admit in the Kamineni Hospitals Vijayawada.
He was working in TCS as a Consultant employee, but he lost his job after he was diagnosed with COVID.
He is the only Earning Person in his family and the family has done all it can to collect the total amount required for the treatment but still Rs.1000000 more is required to pay for his Surgery and all the medical expenses .
