Nanjundaswamy was an activist and artist from Chamrajnagar. The only son of daily wage laborers, he was much loved in Chamrajnagar. He was just 36 years old and a budding and brilliant artist when he got cruelly taken away by COVID on 20th May 2021.
Nanjundaswamy's artwork was about social justice. He used indigenous artistic styles such as the beautiful Warli themed art he created at the sustainable farming center - Amrita Bhoomi (pictured). As his friend put it- “He created beauty for the poor”.
Nanjundaswamy was the pillar of his family and community. This fundraiser will support his old parents to survive in the absence of Nanjundaswamy. Please contribute generously if you are able to.
