Smokey is a 4.5 month old male Indian pariah dog who was born in a mother-less litter of 6. The naughtiest of the lot, this baby won’t let you go unless you have given him belly rubs or booped his snoot once. He’s very friendly with other dogs of his age but plays with the younger and older ones with equal enthusiasm. He’s a spoilt brat who eats just about anything.
We knew nothing was possible for the remaining four of them in India and we reached out to organisations who worked in getting Indian street dogs adopted overseas. Next thing we know, three of them - Clove, Heeva and Kishmish flew to their respective homes in Vancouver, Canada just in time to celebrate Christmas with their new families :’)
This has been nothing less than an enlightening, beautiful experience knowing that our pups are finally where they deserve to be - having a warm, soft bed of their own, a furry sibling to play with, going on long walks in the woods and sleeping along the fireside.
But, the journey isn’t over - Smokey, the last from this litter is still waiting to go to his forever home.
We have until 20th of January, 2020 to collect the required funds which will be utilised for -
Transportation to the Airport
Microchipping and Blood Tests
Cargo Handling Charges
Pet Travel agency charges
All I really want for this Christmas and the new year 2020, is to be able to send my Smokey to his forever home in the US. It just requires every one of us to contribute in every way we can. Please understand that no donation is small or large - everything makes a difference and brings us closer to the goal of sending Smokey home! As you have supported us in the past, we’d like your support this time too. If whatever we do resonates with you, please do consider donating towards this cause :')
