LUQMA - an initiative of SADAA Foundation was conceived as the need of the hour. After the declaration of Lockdown and subsequent mass migration of daily wage workers, Medical Students of Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi rose up to the challenge of ensuring that the worst affected individuals and families don't sleep hungry. The neglected, roadside-dwelling poor, workers by the thousands situated in the poorest localities we drive by without sparing a moment's thought no longer have an income to support themselves. We are not a corporate organization, rather an NGO, and hold no resources to provide them something in the name of an income. All of our operations and activities run entirely on donations by generous donors like you. Your support helps us arrange and direct resources as relief to the helpless who have been completely caught out of position. We've all taken a knock because of this Pandemic but the cycle of misfortune for these people will continue much longer than us. At the very least we can make it certain that these people don't go to bed on an empty stomach. At the very least, let's make sure that the elders of these families don't have to choose between a meal for themselves or a meal for their children.
As an NGO, from our side, we promise 100% transparency. Pictures of our daily operations are posted on our social media handles for the donors to check for themselves.

450 families in Kolkata
50 families in Patna
50 families in Jaipur
31 families in Jahanabad (Bihar)

We have also distributed 4500 cooked food packets in Kolkata and 500 in Kota (Rajasthan)
