Kolhapur, a beautiful city situated in southern Maharastra, India. A city filled with beautiful souls and a peaceful atmostphere until the waters hit this city on 5th August 2019.
And within no time, this city began to drown. Hundreds of home beneath water, more than more 50,000 people evacuated from their homes in Kolhapur district. 204 villages and 342 bridges under water. 11,000 families affected. When this was not done, the water supply at places stopped. Kolhapur came to a standstill with no water, no food. To add to this, it was stranded and cut off from all corners. NH-4 highway closed for the first time in history and the biggest flood of all time hit the city. Kolhapur turned into an island. The gravity of the situation wasn’t realized by the people earlier. In 3 days, so many people lost their everything.
The situation currently is that people have to rebuild their lives. So many people have been functional in giving shelter to more than 1000 people and providing food , blankets, clothes to the needy. But, we need your help and support.

It will surely take alot of time for the people to rebuild their homes, cover the loss and start their lives overall again. Some might have even lost their lifetime earnings. A little help would surely leave huge imprints. Atlast, our fingerprints are never lost from the lives we touch. We urge you to provide help. It will directly be provided to people to build homes, provide clothes, food, utensils to those whose everything has flown away.
