My father is battling life after acute stroke post-COVID PNEUMONIA, he has comorbidities (CAD post-CABG, AKI on CKD, Ulcerative Colitis, AF with FVR). He is completely paralyzed from left side.

He is on 100% ventilator support since 10/06/2021 and was shifted by Air-Ambulance to Private Hospital Chennai from NH-MMI(Raipur) on 22/06/2021.There was rise in brain infarction crossing central line and pressing brain stem, Doctors as last resort had to perform “Decompressive craniectomy ( Removing large part of the skull so that brain has space due to swelling) expected medical expense in short term will be approximately 90-95 Lakhs as he needs 2-3 months of intensive medical care followed by 12-18 months of rehabilitation.

Expenses so far post Covid treatment has been roughly 30Lakhs, 20 Lakhs in last 5 days alone inclusive of Air-Ambulance & Surgery. He is currently battling cardiac issues & Sepsis under isolation and doctors are monitoring very closely. I shall keep you posted with his progress.
