MISSION BHOOK
We are running a cause called Mission Bhook for the slum residents of Cuffe Parade area , Colaba and Navy Nagar area , Vashi, Ghodbunder & Byculla East.
These people are jobless and hungry and survive on daily wages.
Their only requirement is food and that if not available leads to starvation and depression.
Most of them are unfortunate to not even have Roof over their heads.
This mission is being monitored closely by the Cuffe Parade police , Parel Bhoiwada Police ,Byculla Police, Vashi Police and their team who are completely supporting us on the front line without them we wouldn’t have reached this far.
The reason to start this cause online is that until now we friends have used up all of our personal savings and funds to run this since the lockdown was announced and now are falling short of funds.
Food is not just being given blindly , along with that we provide Few days of Grains as well so that they can cook for themselves & survive .
After running this project successfully in Cuffe Parade area we replicated the same model with the help of Byculla police in Byculla East area for the people on the street and in Vashi area where on an average 600-700 people are being fed daily.
We have never seen something like this in our lives , neither have they .
We are blessed to have at least a decent life , they are struggling for their each day’s survival .
Till now the team and friend’s selfless donations for this personally have helped a lot through each and everyone's personal funding.
Now we have almost run out of funds and in order to survive for another month to feed the needy we will need your help.
Please help us to feed so that No one Goes to bed Hungry.
The Funds will be utilised in the following Manner
Food Packets Cost - 30 Rupees (Cooked Food Containing Dal & Rice)
Raw Grains / Groceries - Dal, Staples, Atta, Rice, Oil , etc - This Packet costs around 7,000 to 9,000 Rupees
The Food Packets are distributed each day to around 600-700 Needy People
The Raw Grains Packet are first screened and selected by the volunteers to only the actual needy people as many sell off the grains to the Grocery Shops in exchange for cash.
Hence Vigilance is required.
Luckily we have support of Local Police therefore everything is closely monitored.
We have also posted an update containing pictures of the ongoing work.
We look forward for the support to feed the needy without which we will have to quit this project otherwise.
