Hi, my name is Muskan. I have always been passionate about studying fashion designing. I graduated from my school in 2016 with the stream Financial Market Management(FMM). From there, I applied to the London College of fashion to study design, I got the admission but due to a fire in my family business, I couldn't proceed with it. I tried to apply for a government loan but the tragedy was really big, three people had died too and everything burnt into ashes, the banks refused to help. We waited for an insurance claim but nothing came. I applied again next year and got through but since the banks didn't approve the application I couldn't go. I didn't want to waste my year so I applied to NIFT for a course but they were already closed with the admissions, so I did a diploma there.
After completing my diploma I took admission as lateral entry at the Indian Institute of Art and Design, Delhi. My family couldn't collect my fee, so they canceled my admission. After two months, I applied again and managed to submit my fee.
I've recently completed my 3rd year, and now I'm left with my final year, due to this pandemic, my family is facing a really hard time and we don't have money to pay for my final semester for graduation. Banks have refused to give a loan and I've been straight away told that -
1. Just the last 8 months are left so they don't want to give a loan.
2. Fashion designing doesn't have a future, everyone has opened a small boutique only so there are hardly chances you'll be able to repay the loan so we don't offer for this course.
I would really be grateful if there's any chance that I could get some help to gather the amount to pay my fee. Even a small help would make a huge difference for my future.
I have fought at every step with my family and with the circumstances to pursue this and I really believe in myself. I have missed out on so many opportunities because of financial situations and now when I am almost there, this pandemic happened.
