I am Sharayu Ghurye, writing this appeal on behalf of my husband, Murali Krishna, residing at Hyderabad, Telangana.
Murali used to teach the English language to young students. His students were much attached to him, as he was, to them. His kind and caring nature are one of the reasons I fell in love with him and we have been married for the past 30 years, leading simple, happy, and normal lives as a middle-class family of three.
Earlier this year, in January 2020, it came as a huge shock to us when Murali was detected with Liver tumor, leading to non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Our normal lives were severely disrupted. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment at Gleneagles Global Hospital.
Dr.Dharmesh Kapoor, a liver specialist has advised Murali to undergo a Liver Transplant, which will increase his chances of survival, enabling him to live a healthy life and restoring the previous normalcy in our lives.
Murali has not been able to continue working due to his health condition. I currently work as a Freelance German Language tutor, for making ends meet. Our 26-year-old daughter is just beginning her career in life.
Murali has been registered on the deceased donation waiting list and presently, he is to receive the life-saving organ any moment. The cost of a liver transplant is Rs. 30 lakhs for the entire procedure. We have already spent 3.5 lakhs on his treatment so far, from our savings.
