Our thirty four year old son Munnu Kumar Singh is almost turning blind. With Less than 5 % vision left in both eyes, his life has come to stand still.
Munnu is diagnosed with Retinitis pigmentosa a very rare, genetic disorders that involve a breakdown and loss of cells in the retina.
Having been declared disable by local government run clinics, has left Munnu with not much hope.
Upon speaking to some doctors there is a ray of hope with Munnu if he gets his eyes transplanted .
We are mostly slum dwellers and have very limited resources.
Munnu is married and has two small toddlers. He was working at a local shop as a daily peon, but is no longer able to work as he is mostly home tied for lack of vision.
Cost of the surgery down south would be INR 12.00 lakhs and the hospital stay is approximately INR 1 lakhs.
Post surgery care would be another INR 2 lakhs.
In addition there will be ongoing lifetime costs for medication and emergency treatment for any future crisis episodes.
Please pray and keep him in your thoughts. Any financial assistance you can offer will be deeply appreciated.
