To give a perspective of my education and life, my dad died when I'm 4 years old due to cancer; since then, my mom has struggled so much to feed and educate me. Unfortunately, She also suffers from chronic disease, which made her incapable of working. I completed my schooling with the help of my extended family & relatives and Intermediate education with the support of sponsors. Fortunately, with AP Governments' assistance, I completed my Doctor of Pharmacy.

Purpose & Motivation
Since my childhood, Cancer was evil to my family and me. When I was mature enough to figure out my career plans, I determined to assist people living with cancer in all possible means. However, career influencing incidents happened to me when I got posted in the Oncology department during my Pharm D; I witnessed the suffering of the child who has leukemia which gave me a realistic perspective of the psychological and physical agony that cancer patients undergo, which made to more determined myself to contribute something against cancer.

Research in oncology is my long-lasting dream, but I never thought of pursuing my dream due to my financial constraints. But after learning about Scholarships and Financial assistance programs last year, I realized that there is a chance to pursue Oncology research. I started researching details about courses and applied to a few programs in the oncology stream. After a long admission process and interview finally, I got the unconditional offer letter for MRes Oncology at the University of Manchester. That was a wonderful opportunity for a student like me, and I would gain research exposure at NHS Christie Cancer Institute, Manchester. (World's one of the Top Cancer Research Institute). But due to COVID and many reasons, I couldn't secure funding.

However, I never stopped searching for opportunities; this year, I applied for a few oncology master's programs in Top 100 universities, and I got admission offers from Imperial College London, University of Manchester, University of Aberdeen, Queens Mary University of London, University of Sheffield, University of Glasgow. As the Imperial course is more aligned with my research interests, I decided to go with Imperial College London.

To my knowledge, the most significant breakthrough in cancer research is immunotherapy. Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) is the latest innovation for precision and individualized treatment for cancer. Research in ACT like CAR T-cells for blood cancers enabled us to hope for new treatments options. At present, CAR T cell therapies are mostly restricted to blood cancers. Further research in this area enables us to investigate new treatment options for solid tumors like breast cancer, colon cancer, etc. I believe that I could gain knowledge about the fundamentals behind these therapies during my time at Imperial and will help me step further in my career path as an oncology researcher.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. You have no idea how much it means to me to have your support. Please come forward to support my cause. Any contribution will be of immense help.
