Story

Impact of COVID-19

“We had a number of programmed laid out, “So, this season, we’ve been distributing ration and other essentials to the vulnerable sections besides running campaigns on COVID-19,” we adds.

With the lock-down in place, many employers released the laborers as they were unable to pay them, which again puts them in a spot. In some facilities, they are provided with minimum food.

Initially we started as a campaign to make sure that books are available in schools for underprivileged children has now outgrown into an organization which aims to bring a revolution in education through reading. “Share A Book, India” as a community is striving to weave stories in the young minds of our nation and broaden their thinking by inculcating good reading habits from a tender age. One of the main motto's behind this self-sustainable library community is achieving social equity and equality through education. With an objective of making learning easier for kids, this non-profit organization is determined to change the reading culture in our country. The volunteers belonging to this organization come from diverse background and they are leading the reading revolution with their passion and hard work.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights – and in the process help him/her evolve as a better citizen.

Doubtless, education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. But child education cannot be done in isolation. A child will go to school only if the family, particularly the mother, is assured of healthcare and empowered. Moreover, when an elder sibling is relevantly skilled to be employable and begins earning, the journey of empowerment continues beyond the present generation.

Millions of children and people are in need of good nutritious food and they need your whole hearten support !!
