Our Sanskrit teacher, Mrs. Shanbagalakshmi, taught us many things - love for language, discipline, hard work, and above all, determination. She coached us, for success in academics and in life - keeping our best interests at heart.

Today, she's pulling together all her grit and determination, to be cheerful. She has been through very tough times - medically and financially. She has fought a brain clot, anaemia, and loss of limb control. The expenses of medical treatments have drained her and her family's resources. Recovery recommended by doctors will cost her a significant sum as she needs full time care and several hired medical facilities like a hospital grade bed. As she starts rehabilitation, she needs a peaceful period, else the stress and strain of finances will weigh her down.

We, her students, are putting together a fundraiser to help her tide over this tough time in life and focus on recovery, without getting stressed about finances. Please help her get back on her feet and bring back a smile on her face. Ma'am taught at many institutions - Florence English High School, Sri Vani Education Center and  MES Vidyaranyapura.
