Beed district is known as a cane cutter laborer district. There is a lot of wandering in many places in the district. After the last 15 days, the laborers who have gone to the state as well as arround the state. Due to fear of Covid-19 have returned home with their Family. But since there is a lockdown in the villages, they are not getting any jobs. Many families are trapped in Majalgaon and Gevrai taluka. Today, 5000 families in Majalgaon and Gevrai talukas have been starved and 500 families are wandering.

Although some of these are urban locations, the vast majority are in remote and rural areas. The people in these communities – most of them are sugar cane cutter workers, daily wage earners, construction workers as well as Beggar.

There is immediately and severely impacted by the lockdown. Their source of livelihood has been cut off and that means that they cannot afford even basic food supplies to feed themselves and their families.

 Over the last few weeks, are hugely affected by the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown.
