Dear Supporters,

Thank you for all the love and support that you have shown us. Nadim is bedridden now. The doctors say there is no cure for Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE) disease and that he has to be on medication for all his life. Since he is bedridden he is frequent prey to infections. Last month the WBC count in his body had increased and we admitted him to the hospital and the doctors had started antibiotic treatment due to which his legs started swelling. On further observations the Doctors said that he has got Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT); I.e, blood clot in the veins in his leg, due to which he got the swelling. His treatment consisted of medication and injection for a month and he got to normal. After he was discharged and brought home, the doctor advised that every 15 days we have to run PT INR test and submit the result in the hospital. This test is done to check for any blood disorder. On running the test we got to know that his blood thinning is way below the required rate. The required rate was 2-3 but he was at 1- 1.15.

On admitting him to the hospital we got to know that his blood platelet count was very high, around 1400000. The doctor prescribed antibiotics to help reduce the platelet count and bring it down to zero. The doctor said that his platelet count is looking good now and he is scheduled for discharge this evening.

The funds are being withdrawn to settle the hospital bills and his medication. As he keeps getting infection, we need to keep buying medications. Once again thank you for all the love and support you have shown Nadim. Please pray for Nadim and continue to support him. We would really appreciate it if you could share the campaign with your family and friends as it would help us reach the goal amount sooner.

Thank you.
