Hi I am Mohammed Junaid Shaikh and I have been a regular visitor at Mahatma Gandhi Hindi medium school, Dehu Road, Pune where my mother works as a primary school teacher. Most of the children enrolled in the school belong to underprivileged families yet their families and they understand the importance of education and tend to do the best for it.

Whenever I have been to school and spent my time with these children, I have thereby formed a close-knit bond with them. They have become another family for me.

Today, in the tough time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, these children and their families are facing the adversity of financial crisis. This is because most of these families thrive on daily wages to make ends meet. Most of the families have lost their income and are struggling for needs such as food and accommodation (Rent costing minimally around 2000 per month).
