Starting this fund raiser for my Mother. She was diagnosed with lung Cancer in March 2021. After visiting many doctors and hospitals, we decided to get her treated in Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in Rohini, New Delhi. The biopsies and the scans confirmed that she has a rare genetic mutation (EGFR exon 19 del). This was a good news for us because this mutation has a medicine to supress the growth of cancer cells for few months. The only concern was that the medicine is patented and it costs us 1.64 lacs per month plus some monthly tests, MRI's and other scans. We have been trying our best to ensure that the required treatment is possible for her and provide her a better quality of life, but would need lots of support and help from our friends out here whithout which this is a mammoth task for us. Although its challenging but she has shown us her fighting spirit and this motivates us to keep fighting hard.
