Niti, a beautician, and mother of two children have lost their job in the lockdown. Zain, a transman is suffering due to transphobic parents and wants to move out to start a new life. Sunita, a Domestic worker, has lost her means of livelihood and needs financial assistance. AIQA is helping numerous individuals like Zain, Sunita, and Niti to sustain and survive the ongoing situations.
The queer community in India is still suffering and is economically weak. Due to lockdown, many community members are stuck either with abusive parents or in places where they are unable to pay rent and their expenses. Many people have lost their jobs. With this fundraiser, we are helping numerous people across sexuality and class spectrum to make their ends meet
