Hello!
I'm a 21 year old student from Kolkata, India who has just been admitted to her dream program at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. I will be pursuing my Masters in Literature. Both my parents, who were in business, we're laid off over the COVID pandemic and do not have sufficient funds to support me. Owing to my previous academic qualifications, I have received a scholarship from the university that pays for the first four terms of study. However, I still need funds to help pay for my living experiences- a crucial aspect towards my stay in Vancouver for two years. I tried applying for student loans but my parents' income status makes me ineligible for one. Without external support, attending school is next to impossible for me.
