    Mata Prasad

    from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh

"I was happy with whatever I earned. Will I be able to walk again? It hurts a lot and is very painful. I can't live like this forever. I have been on this bed for the past 6 months. It's nothing less than hell for me. I keep on thinking about my family. My children, my wife and my mother, are spending days empty stomachs because there is no food in the house. My half body is paralysed, and I am forced to stick with this bed..." - Mata Prasad explaining his helplessness.

Mata Prasad is 41 years old and has seven family members dependent on him as he was the only earning hand in the family. He lost his job in the pandemic, and one day, he got a paralysis attack that disabled the lower part of his body, and now Mata Prasad is forced to stick with the bed. His condition is very pathetic, and his family's condition is very vulnerable.

"My husband is the only earning hand in the family. We have no source to support ourselves, and we are spending days mostly empty stomachs. I cannot support my husband properly with medication, and his treatment is also not continuing due to our financial condition. We need your support to survive, and we have no one to look up to for help. Please help us in getting proper treatment for my husband. We will be very grateful to you. Please..." - Jyoti, Mata Prasad's wife pleading for help.

Mata Prasad also developed a severe wound similar to a skin Ulcer in the lower back, adding more pain to his life. He, with his family, is in a very deep crisis, and his loss will break his family, forcing them to survive on the streets. Mata Prasad's relatives have also turned their back on him and his family, and he is fighting this crisis alone, lying helplessly on the bed.

Jyoti says, " After borrowing money, I bought medicines for him. But unfortunately, they reacted and, he developed a puss-filled infection on his lower back. Now he can't even lie straight. I feel so depressed looking at his condition and my little children. I don't understand what to do. My mind has stopped working. I beg everyone so that I can feed my family at least. I can't even go out to work leaving him in such condition as he is dependent upon me."

Mata Prasad worked as a labourer, but after the pandemic, he lost his job.  His kids have to drop school as they have no money to pay school fees. Doctors suggested immediate surgery to improve his deteriorating condition. But his family's financial condition makes it impossible for them to conduct his surgery.

"We have nothing: a broken house, no food and seven dependants with no income. No one will lend us money as we have nothing to keep as a guarantee, and my condition seems to deteriorate with the passing time. I need urgent support to survive and feed my family. This feeling is killing me from inside as I see my family struggling to survive, and I am lying here helplessly. Please help me. Please..." - Mata Prasad is requesting support.

We request you to support Mata Prasad and his family at this challenging time. Your little generosity can bring smiles to the faces of his family members and can give hope of survival during this time. We will be very grateful to you for your support towards Mata prasad.
