The fundraiser is organized by the organization FEDINA to support Mary.

Mary is a garment worker and an activist for 15 years organising garment workers to fight for their rights. She along with her Union Karnataka Garment Workers Union have been fighting for their right to Employees Provident Fund and Insurance.
While she continued to struggle for justice, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has been admitted at Kidwai. Even though it is a government hospital she has incurred medical costs that are not covered such as scans and chemotherapy. Since she has been ill she has not been able to go to work. Rent, food and basic sustenance costs are weighing down on her. She is battling for her life and needs your support. She is an amazing human being who has for the past 15 years worked as a garment worker while simultaneously actively working for justice for all workers such as herself.
