I am Mariya, an Architect turned UX Designer from the city of Mumbai. As part of my personal development and growth, I have been on the constant look-out to find ways to upgrade my skill sets. In the process, I happened to stumble upon a Global Fellowship program called ‘Unschool’ aimed at systems change, sustainability, social innovation, and creative change-making. I found it very interesting and decided to apply for it. After an extensive application involving questions related to my achievements, aspirations and earned accolades, I submitted the fellowship application and I’m super excited to inform you that I have been selected!! Learn about my achievements here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mariya-danawala-b9961044/
It is very encouraging and exciting as my application was selected from a large pool of global applicants. There will be roughly 15 of us designers who will be taken on a surprise-filled, super-intensive, city-based adventure to solve real-world problems using the power of disruptive design.
You can find out more about it here: https://unschools.co/fellowships
This fellowship is in Kuching, Malaysia from November 17-23, 2019 and I am really looking forward to attending it and collaborate with creatives from across the globe. This will indeed be a great medium to up-skill my design toolset and tap into the international processes of design.
I am very pleased to share that I managed to score a 25% scholarship worth 562.50 USD! Unfortunately, the scholarship doesn’t cover all the program costs. While I am actively saving up for the fellowship, I would be extremely grateful if you could help me with some of these expenses.
The funds raised will go towards:
- program fees
- health and travel insurance
- miscellaneous travel-related expenses
I can’t stress enough how driven and passionate I am about this opportunity! To return the favor - feel free to reach out for any Design/UX related opinions/reviews. I’m pretty awesome at what I do and will be more than happy to help :)
