We all are aware about thaat Corona virus is causing a lot of crisis, globally. Nations are being locked down, the prices of essential goods are sky-rocketing, the transportation systems have been disabled etc. In face of this pandemic, where the well-doing people are finding it difficult to maintain their lives properly; the situation of those who work as labourers, the migrant workers and the entire the unorganized class as a whole, are unfathomable. Amidst all crises, the worst affected people are the migrant workers who have left their home states, to get employment in other states.
The state of Odisha and Bihar are the chief sources of migrant labourers. These people migrate mostly into the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat to work in construction sites and cotton & cloth mills. Given the current situation, where a nation-wide lockdown is prevalent; the condition of the migrant workers is extremely vulnerable. they were left with no option but to leave for their native places. In doing so they were walking down hundreds of kilometres to reach their homes. They barely have any money or food. Many of them have started with their bags filled with few water bottles to help them survive the journey. They may be helped by few people, who may offer them lifts till a certain point and few others who may donate them some food. But their journey would essentially be one laden with numerous difficulties, and the scorching heat adding on to it, further.
Having analyzed the plight of these we Team Kshitizz (NGO registered under Societies Registration Act & run by students of National Law University, Visakhapatnam) wants to raise the fund of INR1000000.

Here is how exactly we are going to utilise the funds with complete transparency and that every one has the acess as how what is the exact amount being raised and all the donors gets the right to write a mail to us and ask for the list of beneficiaries, pictures of us carrying out the activities and the bills of all the expenditures.They can also have access to the pdf of our bank statement any further suggestions of bringing in more transperancy is always open.

So,

For with first 20,000 rupess we are going to provide water bottles and food packets to these labourers.

abiding by the govt. Orders and as social distancing  is the only option we have to control this pendamic.we will distribute food packets and water bottles diring this time taking all the preacaution and immediately after lockdown is over we will start our activities and we have taken target of 15 days     but in worst case scenario the project will take place on ground by the end May (provided lockdown is over) and incase the execution of it faceses any difficulty the funds raised will be submitted into PM reief funds

This initiative is taken up by Katcheri, Kanoonmemes,deadly law and Memesocietynlu in collaboration with Kshitizz NGO, all of which are student-run bodies. In times of crises, where the national and state governments have more serious issues like public health and economy to deal with, the student community can do its part by contributing the least to the society and thus, in the most minimal ways possible. We are trying to do it by ourselves so that people can see how exactly there money is being used.
