Manisha is a painter and a gold medalist in Visual Arts . In the month of September , she was diagnosed with Lungs cancer and in order to save her life, doctors had to operate and remove a part of her left lungs. Post biopsy, lightning struck us when we discovered that she was suffering from a rare type of cancer NUT Carcinoma.
Post that, she was taking chemotherapy at TATA Memorial Cancer hospital ,Mumbai. Then in April, 2020, her health condition suddenly deteriorated and the nation wide lock down further worsened her health due to lack of scheduled medical check ups. After a CT scan, we came to know that her Cancer was back in her body and by then, it had spread to her right lungs, liver and bone. Doctor asked us to stop chemotherapy and proceed for palliative radiation. Further, as blood and platelets are not getting generated in her body, she has to undergo Platelet and blood transfusion every alternate days. Now her condition is very critical and she has been admitted to Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai.
The doctors informed us that her body is too weak to start the Radiation procedure. So once she is stable , she can go for further treatment.
Until now, from September, we've spent around Rs.15 lakhs.
We've arranged the amount from savings & insurance. In the next 30 days, we need Rs.30 lakhs or even more for her Further treatment and Radiation.
Unfortunately, my young sister has not only been a victim of a rare cancer, but a victim of the nationwide lock down owing to the Pandemic as well. The timing (current scenario) of her Cancer relapse has made her valiant fight against the disease extremely difficult & challenging. Every moment she is in desperate need of blood, courage & of course money to keep her fight on. Please be generous enough & come forward to support her fight against the deadly disease.
Any contribution will be of immense help. Do contribute and share this campaign link with your friends and family.
Also, request you earnestly to pray for her well being and speedy recovery.
