Hi,

My name is Mangesh Bhuvad and I am raising funds for my friend's son, Shishir Chakravarthy. He is just 15 years old. He has been fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently undergoing treatment at American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad.

Shishir was born a special child. He has Down Syndrome and ever since his birth he has been falling sick very often. He catches viral infections almost every month. In June 2019 he fell very sick and had Dengue. His condition had worsened to a condition that he was puking blood and his Kidney functioning had stopped completely because of which his entire body had bloated. The doctors after performing a few tests found that Shishir was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has been suffering for so long now and it has been a tough time for Shishir and his family.

The doctors have told us that the initial line of treatment would be starting him on medications and Chemotherapy after which they will conduct another round of tests to check his condition and if his condition is still worsening then he might have to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

His treatment will cost approximately Rs. 7500000. Shishir's family has already spent more than Rs 25 Lakh on his treatment till now and need your support to continue with his treatment and give him a better life.

The funds raised will be used towards his:

• Doctor's Consultation Charges
• Dialysis
• Chemotherapy
• Hospital Bills
• Post-operative care
• Medicines

All of us are eagerly awaiting his recovery. Shishir attends a special children's school in Hyderabad and is very much active in all the activities the school conducts. He also loves playing with his friends over there and keeps asking us when he will be going back to his friends.
