We all are aware about the ongoing pandemic situation. In addition in West Bengal, people had suffered from Yaas Cyclone. The adverse affects of cyclone gets coverage and people are aware through different social and print medias too. But there are much worse situation due to the low pressure happened last cyclone that caused huge railfall in several districts. Malda is one of them.

We all were already going through the pandemic already that already affected millions of financially challenged community members in terms of their health, livelihood. They were struggling to get their basic minimum requirements of food on a daily basis.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Malda along with its affiliated NGOs and Youth Clubs are currently working in providing the basic access to our people. Till now we have been able to reach to only 23000 people by providing free food to flood and covid affected people, oxygen cylinders to critical patients and shelters to the people coming for vaccination as high heat was impacting their health drastically. Currently 23 clubs are in active collaboration with NYK Malda and are providing the access of basic resources. But we are now facing challenge in terms of funding. As being a very small organisation and challenging circumstances we are not able to generate funds for continuing the services. The situation is not in our favour and it is getting worse day by day.
So we are opening our hands to get it filled by your contribution so that our service remain continued. We will be initially providing sanitizers, facemasks and hand gloves to Covid affected people. Later on dry ration kits and tarpolin will be provided to the flood affected people. We had budgeted Rs.6000 per block for this task. So for 15 blocks we will be needing Rs. 90000 in total and Rs. 10000 for transportation purpose. All financial details of expenditure will be in public for transparency. We are requesting you all to kindly support us in this campaign so that we can share our smile with millions of people from Malda.
