As we all know it is an overwhelming fact that the participation of women in the field of science is much less in comparison to males.So in association with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the students of College of Engineering, Trivandrum are organising a series of workshops in the nearby schools to enlighten the students about the various opportunities in the field of science.We are going to address the students of classes 6,7,8 and 9 regarding the importance of science and it's applications. We already have workshops scheduled for 28th, and 30th of January and 1st &2nd of February as well.
To let this message get a wider reach, on February 11th , the International day of women and girls in science we are organising a world record event for the category of "Largest Cup Percussion Ensemble".The event will see the participation of 2500 students performing a song using cups. We have chosen the song Pattaka Guddi to go with the theme of the event.The budget for the event is 3 lakhs.The budget split up is as follows.
