Mahesh Foundation is an NGO located in Belagavi, Karnataka. For the past 11 years working for the welfare of HIV infected and underprivileged slum children. Mahesh Foundation sheltered HIV infected children in the care home called ASHAKIRAN – Ray of Hope. Children lost either or both their parents who were also HIV infected and died because of the same disease.
These children are provided with proper nutrition as per the prescribed diet chart, medication and free education. Mahesh Foundation also runs a school called UTKARSHA for these children as well as children of slum dwellers. These children learn under the same roof acquiring the knowledge and skills they need.

COVID-19 pandemic has spread globally and affected the world; hence the Government of India has lockdown the whole country as a precautionary measure and this phenomenon has badly affected the economy and earnings of the people. As Mahesh Foundation is supported by such individuals since its inception and struggling to arrange the meals to HIV infected children and 10 caretakers.

As these children are less immune because of the HIV infection, it is mandatory to follow the proper diet chart and nutrition as prescribed by the doctors and also need healthcare and medication for good health.
The current food storage will feed them for another 15 days and the question arises about the arrangement of food after 15 days. This required support from the generous people who want to contribute to this noble deed. Mahesh Foundation urges for the support to provide food and proper medication to these children

Also, take care of yourself and beloved ones from the COVID-19.
