On 24th August 2020, around  6:30 pm, the residents of Mahad, Raigad faced a catastrophic loss. A huge residential complex named Tarique Garden had collapsed unexpectedly.

The incident took a toll of 16 lives and left 47 families homeless. The NDRF team took 30 + hours and  could only rescue 2 individuals alive, one being a 4 year old boy and other a 63 year old lady.

The complex had 2 wings and around 45 to 50 flats comprising of 40 families.
It all started with the falling of weak pillar on which the building was standing. As some residents could evacuate the building within few minutes of the destruction. Within seconds the entire structure turned into dust.
The reason was the negligent construction and substandard quality of building material used.

We appeal you to donate through the fundraiser so that we can financially assist the victims. They have lost their homes, belongings and for many, their entire life's earnings.
