I’m raising funds for Lokesh, who is suffering from Chronic kidney disease and both the kidneys are failed. He(Lokesh) is still 25 years old and his mom is ready to donate one kidney. He and his father are daily wage workers and the family is struggling to support the expenses. They already sold the land which they had in their village to pay the medical bills incurred during the initial treatment (he was in KIMS hospital ICU for 15 days as his creatinine level was 36+). His family is planning for the kidney transplant at Columbia Asia hospital or BGS hospital, Bangalore, which will cost ~13-15 lacs (kidney transplant + intense medical care for initial 6 months) and post-treatment, the monthly cost is around Rs. 15,000 with the lifelong medicines costing around Rs. 15,000 per month.
I’ve started a fundraiser to pay the expenses (~13-15 lacs) and support his recovery.
