As a part of our livelihood intervention, we have created a Silai School for training the women and adolescent girls of the community. The trained women have been constituted under a Self Help Group and is provided market linkage to put their skill to use.
Till now, the women have successfully completed several orders and have been earning a good respectable income for themselves. Tourists, visiting the Pench TIger Reserve, purchase products made by these women and contribute to a major portion of their earnings. However, due to the drop in tourism activity, our women are struggling to sustain their livelihood.
The proposed funds will be used to support these women to procure the necessary raw materials and to support the center to get back on its feet again.
We appeal all the good souls to contribute generously and support the cause.
