Lia is a young mother of two kids, aged 7years and 2years. Her husband, Prince Simendhi, was the major breadwinner of the family but was tragically taken away by the pandemic in Oct 2020. Her father-in-law passed away a few years ago. Her mother-in-law, and her two young kids are her responsibility now.
She is an experienced tailor and fashion designer and also has completed two diploma courses in fashion designing. She setup a tailoring shop after her diploma, and was running it successfully. She decided to close the shop when she had her first son. She has been stitching at home ever since, and has a few regular clients.
She and her family live in the small island of Kothad in Kerala, which is limited in population and cost of living. She would like to setup her shop in Varapuzha, which is a bigger market.
I came into contact with Lia after her husband's death. Her husband worked as an interior designer and was working as a project manager on our house in Andhra. He had to leave his earlier job due to COVID issues in Feb 2020. After 7 months of unemployment, he took up the project manager role and he had been there only for about a month when COVID struck and pushed this family further into financial uncertainty.
I have interacted with Lia on multiple occasions and she is a very determined young lady who really wants to support her family. From our side, we are donating 10% of the funds that we are raising for her. I humbly request that you donate any amount that you can and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. The majority of the funds will be used for setting up her shop and the remaining will be used for the children's education.
Thank you for anything you can do to help.
