Hi everyone!! The treatment for FIP in cats is surely expensive but it is worth trying helping them to survive if we all join hands to support such kids who need help!!
I am updating a few points here that I observed as a progress in the FIP treatment here in India as well:
1. FIP can be treated with GS, Remdesivir and molnupiravir tablets.
2. Treatment is possible and depends on the condition of the cat as some vets start FIP treatment only and some start to treat cats symptomatically.
3. All 3 medicines are to be administered in different doses by default and it is adjusted with the body weight as well and the type of FIP as well.
4. There are vets in Delhi now who knows the treatment line which was not the case when we started.
5. Test to confirm FIP is Rivalta and PCR but it cannot rule out if it is negative.
6. Antibiotics and supplements likeB12 and Viusid are needed to support FIP treatment.
7. It is said when antibiotics don't work that's probably it is a viral issue and could be FIP.
In my case , I got ditched by this family who adopted Leo and Maari and they also abused me when I tried to counsel them not to leave them on roads when they were hardly 7-8 months and were adopted 4-5 months back. They threaten us to take them back and finally before we were just about to send them to a foster they got sick by eating palm at their home and Maari fell off from their not netted balcony 4th floor which they never mentioned existed as been told they only have one which was netted. By god's grace they survived but the foster also turned out to be a disaster for them.
They were given bad raw waste food(no human could eat that) and were kept starving for hours and without water. They were forced to live with 20+ cats and dogs in the same room when we signed up for a separate room and 15k per month just to keep them properly, food extra.
That foster was very well recommended by one of the very good vets so I went for it not knowing that will make them sick. They had worms and broken pieces of sharp bones in their poop when I got them back home.
Since I have only one room where I already have my cats, I was not able to get them adjusted with the same lot.
They are forced to live under a temporary space in harsh weather conditions just because of these 2 people, who adopted them at first place and left them to die and the foster who is still taking advantage of many like me and still causing so much harm to cats while they stay in her paid boarding in Noida.( still many cases are coming up, I have already raised my voice but still people are showing faith in her).
I will pray no good happen to both of them and that people use their brains to eyes to see it clearly before using that same boarding!!

Each 5 ml vial is $70 in India and is the given as per the body weight. And we all know the cost of diagnosis is at the peak for animals and that too even when the exact confirmation on FIP is not feasible here in India.
After spending more than my 3 months salary on the initial supportive treatment and diagnosis tests, we started the treatment for wet FIP for the kids which will complete after 84 days of daily injections and only if the reports are good we will be moved under observation for next 84 days. The whole treatment is emotionally and financially draining and so your help is necessary to help the kids undergoing treatment and their paw parents. both Leo and Maari are getting treated for wet FIP.The treatment is expensive due to the injections that we need to get from overseas. we are in 8th week of the 12 th week treatment and urgently need help for the injections.

Leo is a 10 months old boy who is in need of immediate funds due to the recent diagnosis of FIP and Liver issues. He had high liver values. A follow up showed no improvement, rather he had ascites and in a week his ascities has almost doubled and his organs are floating in the fluid.
Soon after he was suspected of wet FIP, his brother also started showing symptoms of wet FIP and so we are here arranging funds for their survival.
I know there is a cure for FIP and he needs to be treated. I need to order the medicines from overseas and i need the money. I don't have the means to spend so much money,hence need your help.

They are lovely kids, always purring even in its worst state. The kids deserve the chance of treatment. And nothing is impossible if we all bring our efforts together to help this kids have a life.
