Let's Educate Children In Need (LECIN), a non-profit organization has been working in the Education space with children from low literate backgrounds, since 2015. This year, we plan to build a library in Village Nala (located in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh).

The only thing this settlement lacks in, is a public library and an education community, where children as well as people of older ages have access to books, learning resources or any space which could give them a chance to know about the outer world.

There is a lack of awareness about the importance of education amongst the parents and naturally, children. The girls of the village study upto a certain grade but discontinue after a while, having less opportunities for them to explore, experience or indulge in with the world or even with one another.

This is where LECIN comes in, to #BuildALibrary.

LECIN's Nala Community Library and Resource Centre shall introduce a safe space by setting up a library as an accessible place which shall provide resources like internet connectivity, access to books to provide an experience and the pleasure and opportunity to read and learn.

Here’s what Pratibha Ma’am. A government School Teacher from Village has to say about the plan of building a Library in Nala Village

In order to create this resourceful corner in Nala Village, we require your contribution to spread joy, learnings, knowledge and window of opportunities to native people of Nala.

Once you donate, we'd want you to spread the word to garner kindness!
One share could bring in hundreds of opportunities for children, youth and women in the village. On request, you will also receive a tax deduction certificate.
