| Hello! I am Banavath Laxman, I graduated from the prestigious St Stephens College, the University of Delhi with 1st class division in chemistry honors. Subsequently, I got admitted to IIT Bombay through JAM for reading MSC Chemistry. However, due to my financial background ( 85,000 annual income of parents), I couldn’t afford my education in IIT Bombay without any help. Most part of my education including primary, Secondary and University was done in govt Schools and Colleges with the generosity of the government of Telangana. My under graduation was sponsored by the Govt of Telangana and St. Stephen's college also generously assisted me with a scholarship(TIARA) (Which included tuition, hostel charges and travel tickets). However, now after getting into IIT Bombay am looking for some financial help to cover some of the expenses including Tuition, Hostel charges and non-recurring expenses to settle in the college. I was promised/ made acquaintance of the financial aid coverage of IIT Bombay but unfortunately, they could only grant the same only from the 2nd semester or would take some time. It would be really helpful if you could donate some money to cover the expenses of semester 1, which includes the tuition fee, hostel charges, mess fees, books and other miscellaneous charges for the rest of the 3 semesters. I have reckoned that it would at least sum up to rupees 1 lakh. It would be really helpful and great if you could donate some money, whatever possible, and help me to continue my dream of studying masters in IIT Bombay and help me empower many other students like me in the times to come.
