Jagannath, or Jaga as all his friends fondly called him, was a true gentleman, person with values and a very down to earth personality, a scholar, brilliant scientist, a person with an ever ending pleasant smile and true family man.
He had a very humble background, belonging to a poor family living in a village and struggled through many difficulties. He had a strong will and determination to uplift his family (his sisters and their family) from this state of poverty and misery, and give them a better financial and social life.
Defying all the odds with sheer hard work, late Dr. Jagannath Sardar had graduated from University of Calcutta in 2005 and then completed his Masters from IIT Delhi in 2007. He then went on to complete his PhD from IIT Guwahati. He had then moved to Estonia to do a Post Doctorate in Tallinn, Estonia. After that he got a job in Varanasi as Scientist in Central Silk Board.
When he got the job, he was a very happy man, finally dreaming to provide his sisters a better life. He was the main pillar of financial support for his sisters, and he was happy that finally he was playing that part.
However, a tragic car accident abruptly cut short the life of our beloved friend. His untimely demise is a big loss for his sisters who had just started to dream a life out of poverty and misery.
This endeavor is dedicated to our friend we all respected and admired, the friend who had taught us and shown us that hard work can overcome any obstacle in life, the friend who was determined to provide his sisters a better life they deserve. This endeavor is also to provide our late friend's sisters a helping hand that they need at this time. We are immensely grateful to all of you who reached out with offers of assistance. We request you all to provide your support to Jaga's sisters by way of creating a fund which will help them to live a better life.
We greatly appreciate your donation, and the total raised amount of money will be send to Jagannath’s sister’s bank account. After the end of this fund raising, we will update you all with the final amount. Please let us know if you have any questions/suggestions/any messages to Jagannath’s family.
Thank you very much for your support
We all miss you Jagannath.
