Dated - 11.5.21

My mother C Lalitha aged 69 years was initially tested for covid on 11.5.21 and result came as positive.

She was consulted with a general physician on 12.5.21 and had been given treatment with medicines and was under home quarantine.

Date - 16.5.21 till 17.5.21

Since she was feeling very tired and restless and  we have taken a CT scan and got the report of the scan 17.5.21.We tried many hospitals as she was low on oxygen saturation level and with the support from office colluges we got her admitted in Bloom hospital  on 17th late evening.

Date - 18.5.21 till 19.5.21

She was in oxygen support in the hospital and was in 94 saturation in room air. They have reported that her lung was affected 60 - 70 %.Since the ICU facility was not available in bloom hospital she was shifted to K.M Hospital. She was administered Remdesivir injection. On 19.5.21 they had shifted her to Non Invasive Ventilator as she had decreasing saturation levels of oxygen.

Date - 20.5.21

In K.M hospital around 8 am her oxygen levels started decreasing again and had been reported that she has to be on a ventilator support in ICU and that they suggested the need to shift her to another hospital for intensive care. We got an ICU Ventilator support bed around 2 pm and admitted her to Apollo Hospitals OMR at around 6 pm.

Date - 21.5.21

She had to be shifted to ventilator support as she was low on oxygen parameters and and had to be sedated.

22.5.21 till 23.5.21

She is on ventilator and given medicines and was being monitored.

24.5.21

She had been doing well in ventilator support and doctors told that they would lower ventilation levels to see her progress, fruther updates accordingly will share. Thank you for your response and support and prayers for my mother treatment.

25.5.21

She is having her urinal and kidney functions very low observed and doctor s have to immediately start her on a PD dialysis and we accepted the same to proceed and currently dialysis is in progress parallel for next 48 hours, for which each day 1 lac would be charged, to countinue the treatment.

Still she is fighting a hard battle for recovery and the discussions with doctors reveal that ventilation support has to continue for further period in emergency care post the pd treatment.
