She battled death for about 5 hours until the good folks from The Philanthropist and the Happy Dog found and rescued her.
Laila was completely paralyzed as a result of the accident. This was in early 2020.
Laila is a fighter and a survivor. My mum and I have been following her progress since then.
Cut to now October 2021-Laila is able to sit on her own .
She can move by dragging herself but can't use her hind limbs.
Her motions(pee/poop) haven't stabilised because she can't feel her lower body.
The Philanthropist and the Happy Dog hasn't given up on her and neither have we. She's been moved into a private medical boarding in NOIDA.
The focus is now on her physiotherapy .
Since Laila can pick her body up in order to drag there is hope she may start walking a little bit with the help of physiotherapy.
Also since she has no bladder control right now, physiotherapy can stimulate that and bring sensation back into her lower body.
If she shows more progress with physiotherapy, the next step would be to buy her wheels for movement.
What a fighter Laila is!!!
She is living and has reached thus far because of kind humans who helped nurse her to recovery.
But Laila has a long way to go yet. So I want to try and help her too.
Laila's care costs a lot of money. Her boarding costs 9000 INR per month. Each of her physiotherapy session costs 1000 INR.
She develops bed sores because of her condition and requires treatment for that frequently. There are also expenses involved in transporting her to the physiotherapists.
Please contribute to my fundraiser generously. My mum plans to pass on all the funds to The Philanthropist and the happy dog for Laila's treatment.
