After lockdown employees of the office where we used to supply tiffins started working from home(their Hometown). So our tiffin supply system came to an end. Then we started with online portals but did not get any response. We were in stress but did not loose hope. On 17th Oct 2017 we started a food stall with the help of near and dear ones. We started with breakfast and snacks but slowly and gradually understanding the need of customer we started serving north indian dishes with two variants i.e home style cooked food and restaurant style cooked food at affordable prices. While we were trying to cope up with the effect of first wave of covid 19, then came the second wave of covid-19 that pulled our legs down and due to lockdown imposed in delhi our stall is closed.
We are self employed and we started with dark kitchen so that we don’t have to face overheads like rent, salary and other running expenses due to which most of the restaurants or food outlets fails in first year from its start up. Be it a dark kitchen owner or a food stall operator we always tried to deliver the taste and quality along with quantity to the customer. Secondly we focus on providing food at reasonable prices so that every individual can order or customize their food as per their requirement.
Being a heart patient my husband worked very hard and supported me to manage every day work to run our outlet starting from purchasing raw material, cutting, cooking, cleaning, delivery, setting our stall ,standing there for hours for customers to approach us. My husband use to reach to the passer by to come to our stall & taste our food. Initially being a food stall operator it was very difficult for us make people understand that we can also serve good quality food. We were confident that once a person will taste our food will turn up again to our stall and that is exactly what has happened.
When a person wants to order food two things come to their mind either a restaurant or a dhaba...we were neither a restaurant operator nor a dhaba operator, It was just a small food stall. Summer season started and we were still lacking in many things like we could not set up tandoor (for tandoori roti, naan & parantha which people like most ), refrigerator in summer to stop our food from spoiling in sunlight. Due to rain or storm we had to close our stall because there was no roof …when most people have cravings to order food /snacks from outside we use to loose business.
Our aim is to set up a complete delivery/take away/ online kitchen from where we can serve north indian (Home cooked & Restaurant style cooked food), snacks (Burgers, Sandwiches & Rolls etc) and chinese all under one roof so that we can work efficiently with the help of skilled labor & can make our ideas to give the business to flourish and at the same time can generate more employment.
I am raising these funds for my husband Sandeep & myself. We will be UTILIZING THESE FUNDS in setting up fully furnished kitchen for which we need professional kitchen equipments,cooking utensils,washing equipments,storage racks,appliances,electrical equipments,preparation equipments,pos machine, registration and legal licensing etc.Apart from this we will be keeping backup for advertisement,staffing,running expenses like electricity,maintenance,rent etc and inventory like raw material,packaging material, website building and maintenance.
